Geoff Hayward (Volunteer Wellington) and Rochelle Stewart-Allan (The Boring Fund). Both involved in working to support many of the smaller community organisations in Wellington.

Our speakers this week are:

Geoff Hayward (Volunteer Wellington)

and

Rochelle Stewart-Allan (The Boring Fund)

Geoff Hayward is Wellington Relationships Lead (KaihautÅ« Piringa) for Volunteer Wellington. Founded in 1992 Volunteer Wellington has helped thousands of Wellingtonians discover how they can make a difference in our community through volunteering. At the same time, they have supported hundreds of the not-for-profits, community groups and grassroots organisations we know and love, to run stronger, more effective volunteer programmes.

Geoff will speak about Volunteer Wellington's current work in the community, including some exciting initiatives they have recently launched.

Rochelle Stewart-Allen is a co-founder of the recently launched The Boring Fund, a community led grant fund started by Rochelle and her co-founders who have spent years working in the not-for-profit sector. It is collectively funded by everyday people and provides $500 grants for small non-profits, but only for the boring stuff.
