Perambulators Round the Vines

The perambulators are returning to Martinborough Round the Vines in 2018.  We had a fabulous time last year and a great deal of success (check out the 2017 finishers in the men's 21km walk).  This year we are adding more fun to the package.

Round the Vines is a fundraiser for the Martinborough School so count your entry fee as a community contribution.  The track is flat with some tarmac/concrete but the majority of the surface is meandering through actual vineyards. Not something you can do on a regular basis. You can choose to run or walk 10 kms or 21kms. It is a great run or walk. Those doing 10kms do 1 circuit of the track and those doing 21kms do two.  Lots of time to catch up with everyone regardless of your speed/capability.

The best way to enter is via teams of 4.  Price is the same ($40) for whatever you choose so let me know if you are keen or even mildly interested and we will make up the teams.  This will bring a little bit of competition into the day and the discount for the team entries can be put towards one of the club's charities (perhaps Dementia Wellington following our guest speaker last week).

This is a fun day, many dress up and the drink stations serve wine as well as the standard water.  Port Nicholson competitors will be expected to wear some Rotary attire - T-shirts, hats even badges if you have nothing else.

To round out the fun we will head  to Linda Wellington's for a well deserved BBQ following the finish.

Entries close 10 March so a rapid response is needed.
