We will gather at our house (47 Homewood Ave, Karori) and leave and return from there.
Sheryn and I completed the walk last week and it takes about two and a half hours. Starting at our house, we climb for about 45 minutes and then head down to the 800 year old Rimu. From there we take a track around Otari to Karori Cemetery and home.
The walk is approximately 7.5kms and the route is of medium intensity, with stairs and plenty of roots along the way. We would suggest boots are an essential and walking poles highly advised.
When we have all returned we will have coffee/tea/pastries etc at our house (if you would like to contribute bakery items it would be welcome)
If you would like to join us, please respond to me at davidianshack@gmail.com
