Here's a brewery that we haven't tried before, so I thought I'd give you a bit of its history.

Baylands was started back in 2012 as a small brewery based on Baylands Drive in Newlands, Wellington.  The brewery was in a double garage under the house with a 300L system but quickly outgrew that space and moved to Petone in 2014 with a 1200L brewery.

The first Baylands beer was launched at Goldings Free Dive, a popular freehouse dive bar in Wellington in May 2013 and it's been full steam ahead since then.

We now have a 2500L brewery in the heart of vibrant Petone with a large tasting room with 30+ taps of beer, wine, spirits and great bbq style burger & taco menu.

To get there:

Take the train from Wellington Station to Petone Station - dont forget to use your Gold card for a free ride 

Cross the road and walk up Jackson Street to Victoria Street.

Turn right and Baylands Brewery is just down the road after you cross Union Street.  It's a 9 minute flat walk 

Lets meet there at 12 o'clock for a long leisurely Friday lunch.
