It was another wonderful day filled with hard work at the
Bacon Buttie Stand on Thursday, with many of the volunteers leaving smelling like a bacon sandwich. The final numbers have not yet been announced, but it appears the team made around $1400 for the End Polio Now Campaign, an incredible effort!!
David Shackleton reported that "The spirit and enthusiasm generated, the fact that we had seven Rotary Clubs represented, and the goodwill created for Rotary was fabulous. The event was a great way to promote Rotary and to raise our profile. The sea of red shirts and the gazebo made a very positive impact on all who passed our stand. Thankyou all again for your participation, your energy and support. We are truly grateful"

District Governor Mark’s presentation was very focussed on the future of Rotary and a number of significant changes that are currently up for discussion. The next six months will be critical for the Club to fully understand the changes proposed. We have the opportunity to provide feedback through our Area Governors and to vote on the changes during the first half of 2022.
The incredibly talented Ben Baker also paid us a visit

Waikato times, 10 November 1921: Bubonic Plague. More rats in Sydney. Three additional infected rats have been caught in Sussex Street premises making a total of 13.
Precautions in Sydney. Special inspection of ships. From tomorrow all passenger steamers departing for New Zealand will anchor down the harbour for special medical inspection. This is the outcome of the Dominion demanding, as a precaution, that all shall obtain a clean bill of health.
