President Nicole

Lifting the Lid and Wellington East Girls

What an absolute privilege it was listening to Anna Wilson, Associate Principal at Wellington East Girls, present their comprehensive programmes to support pupils through high school. Lifting the Lid (LTL) is a vital part of this programme and we appreciated hearing first hand what a difference it is making.

ANZAC day

We attended our local Eastbourne ANZAC parade at 10am Saturday morning which had a real village atmosphere. The schools had a prominent role as did the RSA and armed forces. It was a very moving event to recognise ANZAC day.

ANZAC theme for sharing this week

This week we will have sharing and members are welcome to talk about the significance of ANZAC to them and their families.

                                                         Board meeting

We had the April Board meeting online due to the weather and discuss the topics for the club forum on May 13. This is your opportunity to share your thoughts about the club and its future so please come along. We will send out the papers next week.

                                                               Ambulance Presentation

You are welcome to come to the presentation of the ambulance Darryl has been working on for Samoa on Wednesday morning at 10am. Please details below.

                                                      Impact of the storms

The storms this week had a significant impact on some people and their families. Please do let us know if they have impacted you and what we can do to help.

Have a good week.

Important notice:

Changes to registering for breakfast at our meetings

From this week you will need to register yourself and any guests for breakfast no later than 6pm Sunday with details of any dietary requirements, so that we can advise attendance information to the Wellington Club.

Please note - if you register after the cut off 6pm or just turn up - there will not be a breakfast available. You are able to have tea and coffee.

Thank you for your understanding.

Rotary and our partners commemorate World Immunization Week, 24-30 April every year, to raise awareness of the importance of vaccination and highlight the success of our polio eradication efforts.

World Immunization Week is quickly approaching! How would you like our club to observe this important public health event?

The future looks good
