New member and Ambulance for Samoa
We had a wonderful Wednesday morning with the induction of Sophie MiIler as our latest new member, followed by the presentation of the ambulance to the Samoan High Commissioner. Darryl Ross has worked hard to co-ordinate all the generous sponsors to complete the work so the ambulance is ready to go to Samoa on May 17th. Thank you Darryl for all your efforts and welcome Sophie, it is great to have you as part of our club.
Have a good week.
Teddy tacos lunch
12 members had a yummy lunch and enjoyed great company at Teddy Tacos week as part of our monthly Friday Frolics social events.
Tree Planting Volunteering Opportunity
Let’s plant more trees! Sunday 12 July - 1pm to 3.30pm
Please join us for our annual tree planting on Sunday 12 July at 1.00pm with The Friends of Tawa's Bush Reserves for our eighth year. We’ve already planted over 5200 trees in total! This year we will be in Caribbean Drive Reserve (Tawa). There will be a bit of walking from where we park our cars to get to site.
It is open to everyone including family and friends so please invite lots of people to help including Interact and Rotaract members.
You don’t have to be super fit to join. There are many jobs such as: digging holes; planting trees, setting out trees for planting, taking photos for the bulletin, picking up the tree packets for reusing, and / or contributing to the afternoon tea.
If you would like to take part, please register via the invitation being sent out or contact Lisa King (021 265 6220 or email lisaandmalkingnz@gmail.com) and provide your contact phone number and email address and details for family and friends attending. Lisa will send further info when you register by 22 June. Thank you
