Rotary Club of Port Nicholson Bulletin 29 November 2018
President's Message
Our Christmas party at Whistling Sisters on Monday was fabulous! Special thanks to Paula for coming up with an innovative approach, negotiating to have four different beer tastings and providing all the finishing touches like the Christmas crackers. It really was a great success with 56 people attending.
It was my pleasure to present the Club President’s Keyway Award to both Ed Hamilton and Peter Whittington for their significant contributions to the operations of the club, and to present Stuart Young with his Honorary certificate and pin.
I suspect our Editor will include proof of the fun night we had in this week’s Bulletin!
Next Monday we look forward to hosting our District Governor, Marion Johnston and husband, Mike from Wanganui North club. It will be a special occasion and also marks our last weekly meeting at the InterContinental. A significant point in the journey of our club which originally met at the West Plaza then the Port Nicholson Yacht Club, before outgrowing that venue and moving to where we have been for nearly 30 years!
Hope to see you there!
Bev

Calling Rotary Club of Port Nicholson Choristers!
The last Underground Market gig is on Saturday 15 December 11am-1pm.
Keyboard player, Liam Kelly, will busk for the first 1hr 40mins and then will accompany whomever would like to join in with about 20 mins of singing Christmas Carols.
The time commitment would be from 12.30-1.00pm.
You certainly don’t have to be an opera singer! – just willing to sing joyfully, full of Christmas spirit!
Please let me know if you would like to join in, so that I can ensure enough copies of the carols are printed. E: Action-Sanders@xtra.co.nz or M: 027 283 6016
