Singers to Listen For

On Friday 24 February, a special concert will be held, featuring Phillip Rhodes and three young principals from Wellington Opera. Terence Dennis will accompany, and broadcaster Ian Fraser will compere the event. Funds raised will go toward Rotary community projects and Wellington Opera.

Goal Setter Awards 2023 Presentation Breakfast

37 students applied for 2023 Goal Setter awards and the panel has selected 10 to be interviewed early March. From this, 4 outstanding students who have shown they can set and achieve goals, have faced significant challenges in their lives and have given service to their community will be awarded $4,000 each. At the time of applying they will be in at least their second year of study in a Wellington Tertiary institution.
 
The presentation breakfast will be held on Wednesday 19th April at the Pipitea Marae and Function Centre on Thordon Quay. Peter Boshier will be the guest speaker and each of the recipients will speak briefly on their story.

Tickets are available from Richard for $70 each (or $700 for a table of 10).
