Acupuncturist City Osteopaths
Flis Pask is a Wellington based ACC registered acupuncturist and Pilates teacher.
She specializes in treatments targeting musculoskeletal health, sleep, and digestion, and is fully registered with the Accident Compensation Corporation. Flis brings a wealth of experience to her practice, with a career in movement and wellness that spans well over a decade.
Her topic is, “Acupuncture - improving sleep, digestion and musculoskeletal health.”

Greetings everyone,
It is a privilege to write my first column as your new President. Thanks to everyone for making the changeover as enjoyable as it was. As well as being an actual officer changeover, I feel it is more like a thanksgiving. It was a celebration of the last year and a chance to thank outgoing President Nicole for her many accomplishments, with the support of an excellent and well-run Board. Successes have included eight new members, well-subscribed youth programmes, the rapid growth in the reach of Lifting the Lid and RCPN being the Number 2 club in the District in per capita giving to the Rotary Foundation. These achievements, amongst others, are a testament to the success of Nicole's presidency.
At changeover, we also congratulated Keyway Award winners Darryl Ross, Nick Duncan and Richard Brodie for their service above self. Jo Douglas was made a Paul Harris Fellow for her outstanding service to the Club over many years. How energising it is to be able to meet over a delicious breakfast every week surrounded by inspiring people, doing inspiring things for others.
I would like to acknowledge those who have accepted the responsibility of being on our Board for 2026/27: Jo Douglas; Nick Duncan; David Shackleton; Marc Rands; Tori Triegaardt; Nicole Barker; Ross Buxton; and Paula McKnight. Thank you for accepting this role and being willing to dedicate your time, knowledge and leadership to our club and to the wider world of Rotary.
We also congratulate Nick Duncan, who is President-Elect. Nick is greatly respected in our club for his competence, integrity and commitment to Rotary values. He will make a fine President.
And our final thank you: we show our appreciation for our outgoing District Governor, Carol Green, while welcoming in our own, Brent Gerrard, who be the new DG from Saturday. To Brent: where ever you go to in your role, you will always have your home ground, RCPN, to support you and help you recharge.
Please register for the film, Lollipops, on 5 July at 5.45pm at the Lighthouse Cuba, with drinks and a raffle before hand. It is about a woman newly released from prison fighting to reclaim custody of her children, and was a crowd-pleaser at the Edinburgh Film Festival in 2024. Thanks to the tireless Paula and the Projects Committee for organising this event.

RCPN Perambulators welcome everyone to join them
Where: Wrights Hill and Karori Park Cafe 400 Karori Road
When: 26 July 2026 9.45 for a 10am start
Yes the Perambulators are getting out and about again!
This time we are going to meet at Karori Park Pavillion, at 9.45 for a 10am departure. Park your car at the Park or on the road beside the Park. From there we will do a car shuttle to the start of the walk, and do a circuit back to the Park for lunch. Rick is organising the circuit. Make sure you have good walking shoes and poles for those who like to use them. A drink, snack and jacket is also a good idea.
After our hike we will eat lunch at the Karori Park Cafe. This is a very relaxed place to eat.The menu leans to familiar café classics like toasted sandwiches and eggs Benedict, as well as options like the avocado bacon burger or a bacon and cheese pie.
Please register by Friday 24 July so we know how many to expect. Friends and family are most welcome!

Dr Graham Sharpe and Vito Lo lacono talked about the Dorothy Spotswood Charity Hospital which is a purpose-built day surgery hospital for the Wellington region, providing free procedures to people who would otherwise not be able to access treatment.
