Once again, we had a wonderful speaker on Wednesday who delivered a familiar message in the most engaging way. Thank you Heather for continuing to organise the speaker programme.
Thank you to Warwick and David for bringing along guests this week. I hope they enjoyed the meeting. I know that one of them is planning to join us once his child’s treatment is concluded. They would certainly have seen what a vibrant club we are.
This week’s report is mostly reminders, there is a lot on offer at the moment:
  • Please complete the club survey. This is very important for your Board, so they can use the information from the survey results, to inform more detailed discussion on 20 November at our club forum.
  • There is an offer to pay $100 per annum for Buying the Box. That means any contribution you make to that section of the Wednesday meetings is covered.
  • Make sure that you have registered for our club event being held on 8 December at the Top of the Cable Car.
  • Christmas puddings. If you would like to order one or more, please let me know. They are $25 each.
  • Let me know if you would like to be part of a team for the Birdwood project quiz night on 24 November. $30 per head at the Karori Tap house.
  • Plimmerton Rotary are having a cricket themed gala dinner on 5 December, the guest speaker is Jeremy Coney. Contact the Plimmerton club for information
I will be visiting Bev’s club in Nelson on Friday morning and will convey our best wishes to the club, and to Bev.
