This coming week is our Club Forum and AGM. This is a really important meeting for the Club so we can share ideas and look at the direction the Club is heading together. Jo will also have looked at the survey and be able to talk about any points of interest from that. Please make sure you register and come to this meeting.

President Jo’s report

It was so good to hear about the change of approach The House of Grace is taking in their support of young mums, as they reflect on their progress, and how to best meet their needs in today’s environment. We have been proud supporters of them for a long time.
I am very much looking forward to reporting back to you on the results of our club survey, and to facilitating our club’s forum on Wednesday 20 th . I encourage you to attend, as this is your club, and your Board wants to do their very best to meet your needs, as much as is possible.
This month is Rotary Foundation month. If you would like to know how to become a centurion member, please see Peter or Howard and they will be glad to assist.

The Āhuru Mōwai Trust and the Rotary Club of Plimmerton have great pleasure in extending an invitation to you to join us for the Charity gala dinner and auction being held on Thursday evening 5th December 2024. The dinner is a cricket-themed fundraising evening to raise funds to build an inclusive playground for children in the greater Porirua region with intellectual and physical challenges.

Golf fund raiser for the Malaghan

Come and join us on Friday 22 November at the Royal Wellington Golf Club for a Charity Golf day. Teams of 4 playing ambrose with lots of food and drink around the course. Lunch before tee off at 12.30. Dinner and prizes after the event. To register contact Jane Paterson janejpaterson@gmail.com. It would be great to continue members support of the Malaghan Institute.

RYLA Youth Leadership Awards
Applications close soon for RYLA 2025. This residential 4 day course is to be held in late January, is fully funded and open top young
leaders/potential leaders aged 18-24.

Together we can make a difference

The House of Grace has been around for over 20 years and Port Nicholson Rotary has been supporting its work for many of those years. This week we heard from Fiona and Rebecca who were presenting their new strategic plan. Yawn, yawn I hear you say. But no, this was an interesting plan and well thought out.
