What a great weekend for Port Nicholson Rotary Club. It really did encompass what Rotary and our club is all about. Having fun and serving our community.
We started off with helping raise money for the Wellington Children's Hospital, a cause close to our hearts. Got together for Friday Frolics at the Thistle Inn to enjoy each others company. Raised awareness of the importance of monitoring blood pressure by supporting the Stroke Foundation and volunteers from Wellington Free Ambulance at Thorndon, New World. For the more energetic in the club there was the perambulators on Sunday morning with a walk through the Rimutaka Forest Park.
For the club to flourish we need to make sure that there are opportunities for all members to be able to participate in a variety of club activities and community initiatives. If you have any ideas or suggestions just let me or the Directors know.
