A big thank you to everyone who came to the event and/or contributed to this very successful evening. The Auction items brought in around $50,000, with raffles, mystery bags and other donations still to be counted.
A gentle reminder for those who still have to make payment

Don't forget...….
The next club meeting is at the Wellington Club on Thursday 9 May.Staying with our new home and just changing one day for this occasion will hopefully meet with approval by our members.
Congratulations to Tony Robinson’s Charity Auction committee and the dedicated support team on the night. Your efforts helped to produce a very enjoyable and profitable evening. A huge number of voluntary hours were put into making the event successful. It was well run and presents a professional and philanthropic image of our club and Rotary in a very positive way.
The leaders of the Wellington Free Ambulance and the Malaghan Institute each came up to me afterwards and conveyed their gratitude. Their people thoroughly enjoyed the evening and are very appreciative of how the event raises the profile and work of their organisations, so much so that I gained the distinct impression that this was rated as highly as receiving any funds from the event.
We can’t control the availability or generosity of people on the night, but we can influence the experience attendees have. From what I saw, those attending had fun and went away happy.
My thanks to everyone who contributed in some way towards the auction. Well done!
I look forward to being back at Rotary for the meeting on Thursday!

Mary Potter Hospice Annual Street Appeal 2019 - seeking volunteers
We are looking for volunteers who can help us collect for the Mary Potter Hospice Street Collection on the May 17th and 18th. Mary Potter Hospice is celebrating 40 years of providing Hospice services this year.
Congratulations to you and your club on another successful Auction Night. It was a truly impressive evening with such smooth organisational flair front of house, and behind it all too. Your charities are perfect for a night such as this.
As you know we were guests of Craigs Investment Partners courtesy of Anne Hare and I’m pleased to say we were top scorers for the identify Wellington three sheets quiz. We were chuffed with our win and our gumboots.
Again, congratulations.
