Never too young to promote Rotary
Rio did a wonderful job supporting Hayley with the parking duties on Sunday, as well as promoting the youthful side of Port Nic Rotary Club. Many thanks to all of you who helped this weekend.

Chair Vulnerable Support Charitable Trust - Take 10

The Vulnerable Support Charitable Trust - Take 10, support tamariki by providing food in schools, kindy's, kohanga reo, to young people in the city on Friday and Saturday night, rangatahi after school and older people who may be feeling lonely or isolated.

Clint is the Chair person of the Trust and coming from the hospitality industry, he believes in making a place better than you found it, especially when helping youth.

Club forum and follow up
Thank you so much for the robust discussions we held last Wednesday during the AGM, and the Club Forum. Each Wednesday, I will be taking a few minutes before breakfast to work though the items raised at the Forum so that they do not “die in a ditch”. This coming week the subject will be Buy the Box.
 
Proposed subs increase
The Board met on Thursday, and agreed to provide a fact sheet about the proposed subscriptions increase, so all members have the information needed to make a decision in the future, at either a SGM, or the next AGM
 
Xmas gifts for Wellington Women's Homeless Trust
As the House of Grace is operating a different format now, your Board have agreed our Christmas giving this year will be the Wellington Homeless Women’s Trust. If you would like to contribute a gift, such as toiletries, everyday personal things, this would be very much appreciated. Darryl and I will be happy to receive your contributions up until our last meeting on 11 December.
 
Xmas Function
Our Christmas function is on 8 December and 35 people have registered. Please let Heather know if you want to add your name to the list.
 
Jumbo tennis
Jumbo tennis is in March, if you want to put in a team, let Hadleigh know.
 
Tonight, I am going to the combined Rotary Birdwood project quiz, and on the 5 th, to the Plimmerton gala dinner with Jenny and Howard. I will report back on each.

Allan Henry Motion/Performance Capture Artist
Allan is one of these rare people who at a young age had a very clear idea of what he wanted to do when he grew up. He wanted to be a cartoon character. So, he prepared himself for the role by doing martial arts, gymnastics, dance and acrobatics.

When growing up, Pushpa watched people coming and going from her house – her father was a Union leader, and people came to him for advice. She noticed that some people were running out of money, while others coped – even though they all received the same income. Why could some not manage?
