President's Message
What an enjoyable, informal breakfast meet-up on Wednesday at the Leuven Restaurant. It was a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of time to talk, share a laugh and move around tables in between the hearty food that was served. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating, it would be easy to return - something that many members commented they would be keen for the club to do, say two-monthly? Our thanks to Peter and Brent for making it happen.
On Tuesday night the current Board met for the last time, with David’s incoming Board joining us. You can be assured there’ll be good continuity flowing from June into July and our club is very fortunate to have many willing members to dedicate their time to directorships. We will look forward to seeing everyone at our changeover on Wednesday evening, 3rd July.
The Board approved payments from the auction proceeds to the two major charities of $20,000 each to the Malaghan Institute and Wellington Free Ambulance. We also set the date for our Annual General Meeting which will be on Wednesday 11th September.
Tara Canton at the Underground Market on Saturday 15 June.
Funnies!!
My wife suggested I clean the car with our son. I told her a sponge would be better!
I'm reading a book on the history of glue.
I can't put it down!
"I'll call you later."
"Please don't, just call me Dad!"

Tree Planting Sunday 14 July 1.30pm with Friends of Tawa Bush Reserves
It’s time to rally together with friends and family and the Friends of Tawa Bush Reserves to plant native trees. The more the merrier! There will be afternoon tea too! Lisa will be busy baking.
Our goal is to continue planting native trees in Tawa to regenerate our native Bush to provide habitat and food for the increasing numbers of native birds, to make lovely walking areas for us all, and to help slow down global warming.
Please email lisa.king@treasury.govt.nz if you’re able to join us, and let her know who will be attending along with their mobile phone numbers in case we need to postpone the event. Lisa will send out more details closer to the time. Thank you so much for your support!
Visitors and prospective members always welcome. We meet on Wednesdays for breakfast at 7am at the Wellington Club, Level 5, 88 The Terrace, Wellington
