Osteopathy and Voluntary Support for Children in Need

Melanie studied to become an osteopath at RMIT University in Melbourne, graduating with Distinction in 1997. She then joined City Osteopaths in 1998 and became the director in 1999 because she wanted to work in a well run practice.

She has over 45 years experience in dance, Tai Chi and Pilates. She draws on these foundations, combining them with gentle treatment approaches, including Functional, Counterstrain, Cranial & Biodynamic Osteopathy, to effectively treat a wide range of ages and conditions.

Hello Rotary friends,

With only a few weeks to go until our Grand Night Out and the RADAR Awards, we have a busy month ahead.

I would like to recognise that we are indeed fortunate to meet at the Wellington Club for our weekly meetings. It is an excellent venue for a breakfast club like ours, with great food, seamless service and staff who look after us exceptionally well. It is a real tribute to the team here. This is a venue we should never take for granted. I cannot think of any other venue that would provide the quality and convenience we enjoy, at the prices we pay.

On Sunday 20 September at 6.00pm, we will be supporting Everybody Eats by meeting for dinner there. This is a koha-based restaurant with food and service provided mostly by volunteers. Please come along if you can. It should be a very enjoyable evening and a great cause to support together as a club.

The Board meets next week, and our Club Forum is also coming up on 23 September. Please make every effort to attend. It will be an interactive session where members can help us work through some of the key issues the Board is considering on behalf of the club.

Sunday Dinner at Everybody Eats

Dear all,

Please join us on Sunday 20 September at 6.00pm for a relaxed Club Sunday Night Dinner at Everybody Eats, Dixon Street.

Everybody Eats is a koha-based restaurant in Wellington, where people pay what they can. We’ll enjoy a three-course meal together and, at the same time, support the terrific work they do in our community. Meals there generally cost around $10–$15 to produce, and we suggest a koha of $25 per person from our group to help support their work and the wider community. Please by 6pm Sunday 13 September.

A great opportunity for Rotary fellowship, good food and supporting a very worthwhile cause.

This is an entirely pay as you go event - spend as little or as much as you want. Pay on the night.

Please fell free to bring partners and other family members or friends.

We may need to book for a large group so please can I have all RSVPs by 6pm Sunday 13 September - don't forget to register any guests you want to bring so we have correct numbers.

New members Fiona and Simon

This week we were most fortunate to listen to two addresses from recent members to the club, Simon Warburton and Fiona Smith. A strong theme to both was a passion for overseas travel and a can-do attitude as each experienced several job opportunities and entrepreneurially used them to future advantage.
