Day 6 in California and pictured Eloise and Flora who are very much the reason for our trip. Temperatures have been steadily between 30 and 32 degrees and to this point I have yet to see a cloud. I am told the temperatures are soon to drop and we will have 5 days around 20 degrees….I think we will be able to handle that!

I am sure that most will have seen last night’s blue moon. I was woken last night around 1.30 with the blue moon directly visible through the sky light and the room filled with a lovely white light. I am sure that is the closest I will ever get to a religious experience!

Today I came out of my comfort zone to do the School and Daycare run with the girls. Traffic not heavy in this small town, but as they don’t have the give way to the right rule, the bit you need to get used to is at intersections where you move off in the order in which you arrived. I am pleased to say Poppa came through with a pass mark.

It was great but not unsurprising to see the number attending Wednesday’s breakfast meeting and the Lifting the Lid report back. The profile on mental health is now huge and I am very proud that our club is in such a proactive leadership role.

I am wondering how Paula and Ross are going with the Mystery Bags and am hoping that our Rotarians will not miss out on such an exciting and important event. So if you haven’t, get your ticket today.
