Well we have a new Mayor for Wellington. No doubt some of us will be disappointed whilst others delighted. We did have the opportunity to have our say and it is pleasing to see that the numbers voting did increase slightly this time. Although the majority of voters didn’t participate they are still bound by the result.

Teresa has prepared a survey monkey so that you can have your say on who the Club will support this year with our Charity Auction Dinner, next May. When you receive it please take the time to complete it. It doesn’t take long and will enable the Board to make decisions that do have the support of our members. Don’t be like those who did not vote in the local body elections.

It was great to be able to acknowledge Mark Pickering with a Paul Harris Sapphire Pin last Wednesday for the great work that he has been and is continuing to do. Congratulations Mark. The Club is in good heart and should take time to reflect on its achievements from time to time.

Also, congratulations to the Day family for having a newly elected Councillor in their whanau.

Hi Folks

I have used survey monkey to create a very short survey for members to canvass their views on which charities we should support and any changes they would like to see in the format of the evening. Thanks to those who gave comments on the draft survey.
