From the President..

Well done Team RCPN on coming first in the Jumbo Tennis! Congrats Steve, Michaela, David (Quinn), and Hadleigh – a huge credit to you all and great PR for the Club!
With much enthusiasm, but less success, David and Sheryn (Shackleton), John and Rosemary, Graeme & I participated in the Quiz evening held by the Karori Rotary Club for Lifting the Lid. Great that between $3K and $4K was raised.
The reach of this project continues to increase and will be featured at the District Conference this coming weekend, based at Southwards on the Kapiti Coast. Still time to enrol if you want to join the‘small band’ going out there for it on Friday evening (17 March) and all day Saturday and evening (18 March). There will be social times for families and Rotary displays on the Sunday. As all know, Zoom meetings and conferences are succinct, but it is the networking and opportunity to share stories, projects and meet in person that is so valuable.
It is appreciated that some will be enjoying dinner and then Circa on Friday evening, and/or Naoto
Segawa at Wellington Cathedral at lunchtime that day.
Some dates seem to have magnets attached to them, with Sunday this weekend also sporting Weetbix TRYathlon. Thank you to Anne Hare for coordinating those from our Club offering to be marshals to secure the bike course of their event. A reminder that those who have volunteered to assist in this role need to report between 7.30am -7.45am on Sunday morning at Kilbirnie Park.
This week you will hear more of how some of the funds members help us receive are being distributed by the Board. Much appreciation to all who help us make a difference.
At Breakfast this week, Guy Ryan will share more of the benefits of the mentoring and facilitation of the exceptionally innovative young people with whom he and his team works. You too will be inspired!
Many thanks to Paula and Linda for taking over preparing the Bulletin while Hayley and family have been holidaying. Good to see you back, plus our youngest member, at the meeting last week!
