On Tuesday, Darryl and I went to Wellington Girl’s to present the Interact certificates. We had 47 to present. Although not all of the girls were there, it was a great turn out and so good to see that there are Year 12s who will step up to leadership roles next year, and that they were encouraging others to take up leadership roles. We told those who were leaving at the end of the year to look up Rotoract clubs in the universities who have them so that they can continue with their voluntary lives.
Club survey
Many thanks to Brent for getting the club survey up on to Survey Monkey, and for having such an innovative way of introducing the survey. Please, complete it as soon as you can. The more responses we have, the better we can target club forum discussions, and aim to meet members’ needs and suggestions.
Tree of Remembrance
Jean made a presentation about The Tree of Remembrance which will be at Moore Wilson this Christmas. She would like as many volunteers as possible to assist. Paula has the roster and it will be there on Wednesday for people to take a two-our time slot, I am definitely going to. The main job is to be a listening ear for people who are tying a ribbon onto the Christmas tree, as they remember the person they are tying the ribbon for. Christmas puddings.
If you would like to order one or more, please let me know, and I will coordinate. They are $25 each.
Lastly, our Grand NightOut is on this Wednesday. I am looking forward to a great night with friends, and fund raising for Lifting the Lid.

Golf fund raiser for the Malaghan
Come and join us on Friday 22 November at the Royal Wellington Golf Club for a Charity Golf day. Teams of 4 playing ambrose with lots of food and drink around the course. Lunch before tee off at 12.30. Dinner and prizes after the event. To register contact Jane Paterson janejpaterson@gmail.com. It would be great to continue members support of the Malaghan Institute.
Perambulators Governor Grey's Track
Sunday 27 October 2024 10am
We will explore a new track that starts at the bottom of Kelson and ends half way up Hill Road Belmont.
There is some lovely bush, interesting views and it loops back down to the cars.
We did not know before his Wednesday talk that Brad Weekly was a keen Bruce Springsteen fan, but we do now. Brad, originally from Eugene in Oregon, first came to New Zealand in 2008.

This is a huge help when we are doing the rosters for rotary duties.
