Colonial Knob and lunch at Kai Tahi or Abandoned Brewery 1 June 2025 9.30 start Yes the Perambulators are getting out and about again! This time we are going to head up Colonial Knob, meeting at the carpark next to Camp Elsdon at 9.30am on Sunday 1 June for a hike right up to the top - if the weather permits, and then back down through the forest. After our hike we will dirve to Kai Tahi - a new eating and retail space in Porirua where you can choose from a variety of foods and the sit together and eat. If we felt like it we could have a beer at Abandoned Brewery - which is right next door and they also have a food cart outside which we could use for lunch - we will make the decision on the day :) There is plenty of parking in the car park by camp Elsdon or on the road beside it. You will need hiking boots and for those who have them, poles. Bring a drink of water, a snack and jackets as it can be windy at the top and the weather can change. The views are spectacular. great for those who like to take photos. Please respond by Friday 30 May so I know how many to expect. Friends and family are most welcome! Looking forward to joining you for a good hike! Lou |
