DESCRIPTION:Our speaker this week is   Jonathon Hendry from Bats Theatre  
 speaking on  Surviving as a professional theatre in New Zealand  Jonathon
  is Chief Executive and is driving a strategic refresh of BATS Theatre in
  Wellington. Recently he worked at Fortune Theatre as Artistic Director af
 ter nearly a decade and a half of leading actor training at UNITEC and Toi
  Whakaari NZ Drama School. Jonathon has employed a strong and diverse ran
 ge of skills in a variety of contexts. These range from exploring marae ba
 sed theatre in the early nineties\, award winning stage work\, playing cha
 racters on screen\, building company environments\, mentoring emerging art
 ists\, reviewing on radio and shaping development in advisory or governanc
 e roles. He’s relished the opportunity to keep learning while championin
