DESCRIPTION:This week our speaker is Andrew Cameron  Humanitarian Nurse  An
 drew is a Registered Nurse\, and Midwife\, clinically specialised in Emerg
 ency Nursing\, Intensive Care\, Rural Camp\; Isolated Practice\, Immunisat
 ion Practice and Public Health. He has a Master’s degree in Tropical Pub
 lic Health\, and many years of experience as a rural and remote nurse and 
 as a Director of Nursing. posts include Australia\, Kenya\, Sudan\, Yemen\
 , Iraq\, Georgia\, Sierra Leone\, Djibouti\, South Sudan (twice)\, Afghani
 stan (four tours)\, Ukraine\, Rwanda\, and most recently (2025) in Gaza. I
 n 2011\, recognised for exemplary standards\, he was awarded the Florence 
 Nightingale Medal by the Governor General\, for exceptional courage and de
 votion to victims of armed conflict. In The Queen’s Birthday Honours Lis
 t 2013\, he received the medal of the Order of Australia from the Governor
  of Queensland\, for services to nursing. Andrew topic is\, " Providing h
 umanitarian aide as a nurse in the world's most challenging environments.
