 e - BenchSpace   Oliver Dickie\, who has a background in the legal profes
 sion\, is the Chair of the BenchSpace Charitable Trust. BenchSpace is an e
 xciting new collaboration for Wellington to provide accessible bench space
  – literally – for people who practice or want to learn the creative c
 raft of working with wood. Oliver was motivated to join the BenchSpace pro
 ject after observing the delight and growing confidence in beginners makin
 g simle projects from wood\, and the associated mental health benefits of 
 working with your hands.  Oliver has worked with a group of volunteers t
 o bring BenchSpace to life.His team has a strong vision of creating a well
 -managed venue that will be available to everyone\, from experienced woodw
 orkers through to City housing tenants and woodwork beginners.the love of 
 working with wood grew out of renovating a house and has also gravitated t
 o making banjos and furniture.  Oliver's talk will be an interesting one 
 and it is a great opportunity to bring along new members who may be intere
 sted in woodworking but more importantly interested in joining our Rotary
