k Bird Father Frank Bird is a Catholic Priest and belongs to the 'Maris
ts'. The Marists' work all over the world particularly with those most in
need. After a minor mid life crisis he moved to working in a project with
Burmese Migrant Families and Children in Education\, HIV Health and Migran
t Support Programmes on the Thailand / Burma Border in Ranong. Previously
he was involved in serving communities in Auckland\, Whangarei and Northla
nd in New Zealand. He has worked in youth ministry and youth leadership an
d development programmes in Secondary Schools for several years. In more r
ecent times he has returned from 9 years on the Thailand Burma Border to b
egin studying a Masters in Education focussing on leadership and migrant e
ducation. At our meeting on Wednesday Father Frank will be speaking on: E
ducation project for Myanmar refugees in Thailand. This will be a great
opportunity to bring along new members to listen to this interesting speak
