Thanks to John Bishop our President-elect (not for much longer), for running our club visioning session on Wednesday last week. I look forward to seeing the results from the survey in the fullness of time. John is travelling for the next month so he will back in time for our Change-Over on July 12th - please mark this into your diaries.
Just a reminder that this next 3 weeks will see us meeting on a Tuesday morning at the hotel and the last week of June there is no meeting that week.
Thank you all for braving the cold and the wind and giving of your time so generously on Friday for the Youthline Street Appeal. Collecting funds in temperatures of 7 degrees on Lampton Quay is truly "Service above self".
The time you spent collecting funds was greatly appreciated and I know the money we collected has been very gratefully received by the Youthline group.
I am not sure of the total amount we collected as those calculations have yet to be done. However rest assured it all helps and has gone to a very worthy and deserving cause.
I was particularly touched by one young man who approached me and donated, telling me that Youthline, in many ways, saved his life.
